About Jeanne
My love of reading started at a very early age. My love of writers followed shortly after and fully blossomed in the last few decades.
The love for writers was a natural extension of that love of reading, of course. Writers are our storytellers, the vessels of our culture, the recorders of our times, and the guardians of our history. They have made a huge contribution to my personal life.
In my professional life, I have found great joy and a sense of fulfillment in helping writers achieve their goals. I have had the pleasure of working with writers of all ages and backgrounds, ranging from a former gang member turned successful businessman to a retired law professor, a movie producer to a hospice doctor, a veteran teacher to a real estate developer. My youngest writer (so far), already a gifted storyteller, was looking forward to her 12th birthday. With my most senior writer, a born raconteur with amazing tales to tell, we scrambled to have his book printed in time to celebrate his 100th birthday – and I’m happy to say we made it.
It has been a joy and a privilege to help writers focus their work, find their stories and then refine them, and help them amplify their messages. For many writers, my most significant contribution has been not in critiquing what’s already on the page, but pointing out what’s missing in a manuscript. In fiction, that can be in character development, resolution of plot points, or a number of other things. In non-fiction, that can be whole gaps in logical points or conclusions that don’t hold up.
